Las Vegas Casinyes Part 3 of 3

Continuing on from the last post I must mention the great steakhouse that we ate at called the Homestead Steakhouse at Ceasars Palace. Now this place is probably not the best place in Las Vegas to get a steak (maybe it is, I didn't read the reviews) but for the first nice meal I have ever had in Las Vegas it was perfect. We got a nice booth along the outside of the restaurant with a view of people passing by. This restaurant doesn't have a view of much of anything as it is located within the Casinyes but it does make a strong steak.

I had a bone in filet that was very good. I come from a town that is known for their steaks and this one ranked right up their with the best. We paired it with a bottle of red wine and some mac and cheese and you have yourself an incredible meal . I would suggest the mac and cheese and spinach sides, both are very good choices for pairing with a great steak. We were able to make it out of the restaurant with all of that for under 300 dollars which I felt was a good win.

This was the end of another great night in vegas as both my wife and I were full beyond our wildest dreams. But I wasn't about to give up on the night that easily, it was time to gamble. We made our way out of Ceasars Palace and into the Bellagio. I wanted to show my wife the beautiful glasswork in the lobby ( it is a chiluli but I don't know how to spell it, editing comes later) as well as how impressive the casinyes is. After making our way around the floor I started getting the itch for some slots. My wife firmly believes that she is bad luck as I seem to win when she is not around. So as normally the case she took a hike. I was able to move from slot machine to slot machine slowly making some of the money back that I spent on dinner. These machines were very similar to what I played at Planet Hollywood, but the Bellagio just has another level of class to it. The floor and the ambiance are very energetic and classy, you almost feel like what you are doing is just a normal activity. Finally, after making my way around several machines and making a few dollars here and there I hit a decent sized jackpot which put me almost to the amount that I had spent on dinner. As luck would have it my wife was spotted and on her way back towards me so we could leave with my winnings. But, as Las Vegas luck would have it, she needed to use the bathroom before we started our walk back and as any person that is feeling lucky would do I couldn't resist the urge to play another game. I proceeded to sit down at a slot machine and give 40 dollars back. A small price to pay for a nice evening of dinner and gambling.

All in all a great experience was had both at the Homestead Steakhouse at Ceasars and at the Bellagio. Both myself and my wife were very impressed with the evenings activities and we enjoyed our time immensly.

Stay tuned for more to come from this trip as we still need to cover our trip to the Statosphere Tower the forum shops at Ceasars and the HighRoller Ferris wheel at the Linq. Also we will be covering my overall review and casinyes stamps of approval for the places that we visited.
